About the societies forum

To all college poker society members,
This forum is intended to provide a meeting place for members of various college poker societies across the country. For example, you can utilise the forum to provide your members with news on upcoming society events and other news, discuss poker nights etc.

This, the general societies forum is a mutual meeting ground for all societies. On request, we can add a new forum for each society, (example Poker.ie/ Forum/ Poker Societies/ DCU). To each forum we can assign a moderator. This will allow a more efficient way to get in contact with your fellow members.

Anybody know anything about the dit poker society. When they play games or do they even play games?

Hi,
The DIT poker society will be running weekly poker tournaments on tuesday evenings in the Aungier St. canteen. Registration is at 5 o clock.
This tuesday will be a €5 freeze out tournament. As interest grows the stakes will get higher and top ups and rebuys will be introduced.

I hear that DIT cannot hold any poker events in DIT since they lost their rights to UCD poker soc in a committee vs. committee tourny

This is not true, no tournament ever took place. The D.I.T Poker Society is active and holds weekly tournaments. This week the venue is Java City on thursday at 4 o clock in Aungier Street.

I believe the Committee members are elite poker players in their own right.

Hey anyone know anything about a poker society in UCG or if there will be one soon?
